OUR LAW OFFICE:

The Law Offices of J. Derreck Whitson was opened in Newport, Tennessee to serve the legal needs of the people in the East Tennessee region. We are dedicated to our clients and our offices have litigated numerous personal injury, criminal defense, family and divorce law, cases throughout Tennessee. Our office also provides legal services in estate and probate cases, as well as preparing wills, powers of attorney and trusts.

Attorney Derreck Whitson is a lawyer in general practice representing clients in personal injury, divorce and criminal defense law. Attorney Derreck Whitson handles personal injury, criminal defense, family and divorce law, estate planning and administration cases.

Derreck received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Memphis,Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2005 and his bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City in 2002. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts by the Tennessee Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.

Our office offers on-street parking on Broadway, but there are other city parking available. The law office is convenient to Interstate 40 and directly off Highway 25/70 as the highway passes through the historic downtown area. Take either exits 432 or 435 off I-40 toward Newport.
